OBJECTIVES:

Annai Velankanni polytechnic college assures the students to do the best in sports& games with good infrastructure playground. We encourage the sports activity for students and faculty. We conduct Annual sports meet every year and inter & intra polytechnic Association competition are encouraged.

Annual sports activities:

The annual sports meet is conducted every year during the beginning of the academic year for the faculty and students. Weekly two hours is allotted for physical education director utilizes this hour with students usefully. The duties of the physical education director are.

Annual sports day celebration every year.
To develop physical fitness in the PET hours.
To select the best performersgive special training.
To participate in IPAA-Nagai puduvai divisional level match.
To Participate in IPAA-state level match.
To Participate invitation match.
Maintaining the discipline.

Facilities for sports

AVPTC emphasizes the importance of sports and considers it as an integral part of the curriculum. To promote sportsmanship among the students. Our college has created excellent infrastructure facilities for sports. Students are encouraged to participate in various sports and games.
